Why not just buy a pre-built from a big retailer?
You can — but pre-builts often save money on the bits you can't see (power supply, cooling, motherboard) and you're on your own for support. A local custom build means balanced parts, no corners cut, and someone you can actually talk to.
Can you just upgrade my current PC instead?
Often that's the smart move. A new graphics card, an SSD or more RAM can transform an existing machine for far less than a full rebuild. We'll tell you honestly which makes sense.
How much should I spend?
